Mad Collective Connection (MCC) is more than just a reggae band—it’s a movement. Strengthened by a variety of cultural backgrounds, MCC is founded on a passion for reggae. Combining the energy of roots reggae with a strong dedication to social consciousness, spiritual development, and unity.
With each note and phrase, we want our music to spread messages of love and highlight injustices that can be resolved through the teachings of Rastafari and the universal spirit of Jah.
Our Journey in the World of Reggae Music
- Dom (Lead Vocals) Hailing from a powerful chieftain lineage in Sierra Leone, Dom carries the weight of history in his music. His deep bass voice embellishes MCC’s unique sound. His unwavering belief in Jah create a spiritual foundation for MCC’s lyrics, reminding listeners that reggae is not just music—it’s a way of life.
- Abi (Bass Guitar) A world traveler and humanitarian, Abi’s smooth and steady basslines anchor MCC’s groove. He moved to Australia after years of service with Médecins Sans Frontières, contributing his knowledge of rhythm and international inspirations to MCC’s distinctive sound.
- Mystic (Lead Vocalist) A dynamic singer from Sierra Leone, Mystic brings high energy and deep spiritual passion to MCC’s sound. He traveled to Australia as a refugee, where fate reconnected him with Dom in a miraculous encounter over the spiritual herb. His commanding stage presence and love for fashion make him a true frontman.
- Zodiac (Guitar) His early days playing guitar in a Scottish rock band, Zodiac was inspired by the syncopated off beat rhythms of bands like The Police. After emigrating to Australia, his love for reggae deepened, leading him to MCC as a platform for powerful storytelling and cultural fusion.
- Stanley (Sound & Lighting) Lengthy experience of live venues and expertise in high-tech stage production elevate MCC’s sound. Stanley ensures that every performance is powerful and immersive.
